Products and Subscription Terms

The SparxSystems toolchain consists of several products and hosting models.
What are the terms, how long are they valid, and what is included in the delivery?

Enterprise Architect

New Purchase (All Editions)

The purchase price includes access credentials that are valid for 12 months. These credentials allow access to the download area for both minor and major builds.

The license email includes:

• An activation key
• A license key
• Access credentials

The validity period runs from the month of purchase until the end of the same month in the following year.

For customers who require an exact validity period, the precise expiration date is specified in the license email and is calculated as:
Purchase date + 364 days, but with access till end of the Month

Enterprise Architect Renewal (All Editions)

To maintain access to the latest versions and support, a renewal subscription is available.

The license email includes:
• An activation key
• Access credentials

The renewal validity period runs from the month of purchase until the end of the same month in the following year.
For customers who require an exact validity period, the precise expiration date is specified in the license email and is calculated as:
Purchase date + 364 days, but with access till end of the Month
If the renewal is maintained continuously, the original purchase date of the product is used as the reference for the renewal cycle.

Pro Cloud Server – Subscription

The license email includes:

• An activation key
• Access credentials

To activate the licensed Pro Cloud Server, a PCS request must be created in order to receive a certificate on the next business day.

The installation is therefore bound to the installation environment.

The subscription period begins on the day the Pro Cloud Server certificate is issued and remains valid until the end of the same month (end of Month) in the following year.

The license email also includes setup credentials that are valid from the month of purchase until the end of the same month in the following year.

As a result, the subscription duration may differ from the access authorization period.

If the subscription is not renewed, functionality will be reduced to the features of the unlicensed Pro Cloud Server.

Prolaborate – Subscription

The license email includes:

• Installation instructions
• Activation steps using the Machine ID

The subscription period begins upon receipt of the activation key and expires at the same time as the Pro Cloud Server subscription.

PaaS – Hosting Subscription

With Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), the infrastructure is hosted on AWS.

Typically hosted components include:

• Pro Cloud Server
• Keystore Service
• DBMS
• Prolaborate (if purchased)

Enterprise Architect remains installed on-premise. The subscription period is 364 days from activation.On the activation day, all necessary access information will be provided.

If the subscription is not renewed, the service will no longer be available.

SaaS – Hosting Subscription

With Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), the entire toolchain is hosted on AWS.

This includes all components of the SparxSystems environment. The subscription period is 364 days from activation. On the activation day, all required access information will be provided.

If the subscription is not renewed, the service will no longer be available.
