"Compendium of Enterprise Architect from SparxSystems" Handbook

Completely revised and adapted to EA version 11.
With the release of Enterprise Architect 11, this book has been completely revised and expanded to include numerous chapters. The scope of the book would have grown to over 400 pages with these chapters, so in order to keep it compact, we decided to make the UML fundamentals section available in PDF format only. The thematic focus also prompted us to give the new edition a new title. It remains the only book on Enterprise Architect in the German language, designed as a basis for training and ideal for self-study.

The book has been expanded with the following chapters:

  • Team Collaboration – multiple users on a single model
  • Transparent versioning for service-oriented architectures
  • Colorful Enterprise Architect
  • Element Discussions
  • Model Mail
  • Comprehensive documentation: optimal model structure

Previous Versions "Projectmanagement with Enterprise Architect"

Due to strong demand in training in embedded software developers with a separate part of the process optimization analysis section of Real-Time and Embedded Systems Design was added. Behavior Changes due to feature requests and bug fixes has been incorporated. A separate survey of available additional window has been added.

To get an overview of the scope of this book, you can read a sample of our courseware and download the Table of Content. This book serves as the documentation and guide for UML with Enterprise Architect training, but is also excellent for self-study. The first part offers a good and compact overview of UML 2.1 including a comprehensive description of the 13 UML diagram types. The second part deals with the Enterprise Architect UML tool. By way of continual examples, the approach to creating UML diagrams is explained, while at the same time a very efficient introduction to Enterprise Architect is achieved. The third part deals with the extended functionality. A description of the most important keyboard shortcuts rounds out this UML guide for Enterprise Architect.
